I am sure other people are out there writing about the Big Island, but I think they may be writing for the tourists. There is more to Hawaii than a post card of a beautiful girl in a grass skirt. The multitude of religions here, make it hard to push a single religion as dominant or definitive, therefore they basically cancel out. The fact that we have two indigenous mammals on the Islands, a bat and a seal, many species of birds, reptiles and insects, makes the sea life the most numerous and Hawaii the most interesting for me to explore.
I am going to write for people who want to know what it is like to live and play here, about living in the playground of the world. Driving on the roads that are shared with many people from all over the world. At times I will write about what, I think, I see in the world that should bother someone like me and everyone else.
The distractions can be insurmountable at times, but I will give it my utmost attention.
